ImageSince this Govt. came to power , there had been many instances of mothers trying to commit mass suicide with their children., and in almost every case  it has been discovered that their dire poverty has led them to take this decision. It is no doubt that  a mother loves her children . Hence, a mother taking such a monstrous decision is because the Govt. has driven this country into abysmal economic despair .

Govt.’s election gundu : promises not to increase prices until 9th May

The Govt. which created a record for making the most number of dishonored promises before elections in its 84 page Mahinda Chinthana in the  political history of SL , has now promised just before the General elections on 6th April ,that it will not increase the prices of essential commodities until 9th May , that is after elections. The Govt. has made this possible by its decision to extend the import tariff concessions to ten food items.
