 The UNP Gen. Secretary and M.P. Tissa Attanayake , said yesterday (7Jul) , that the UNP’s bid to forge a broad alliance with other political parties is aimed at emerging victorious at the next Presidential and General elections . Changing the symbol is irrelevant and unimportant at the moment.
The party is still in the incipient stages of negotiation . Common issues have to be identified and ideological differences ironed out , he added. |
