Massilamany, UNP Provincial Councillor and Rtd. Assist. Director of Education speaking at the same Media conference today said that the Eastern polls result was more a victory for the UNP and less a victory for the PA which won on the model of Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe. The landslide victory that was there on the platter for the UNP going by its popularity was grabbed by the PA employing violence and elections violations, he exclaimed.
It is the consensus of all including the Elections Commissioner and monitoring organizations that this recent EP elections were far from being fair and free. In plain language the victory of the UNP was plundered by the PA which has become proverbial for its human rights violations , inflicting violence jointly even with terror groups (TMVP), disrespect for rule of law and despotic actions, he added |
